about BYRON BICYCLES
Our true passion are bikes from the "old school" era. Although we specialize in the Dyno brand, we'll take any great classic and bring it back to life. The process involves repair of the visible parts (e.g. frame/forks, wheels, etc.), as well as the parts not easily seen (e.g. headsets, bottom brackets, etc.). The result is a beautifully preserved bicycle - just like the day it came off the showroom floor.
Replace or Revitalize
Vintage inspired pieces all tell a story and are often some of the most challenging aspects to a project. It involves assessing their current condition, and where we can go with them from there. Sometimes they can be refurbished to factory-like condition, while other times it's best to seek out a replacement. We try our best to offer both options as they can be appealing for different reasons.
Today's BMX market offers many generic alternatives to replacing all the necessary, yet virtually extinct, factory parts to get your bicycle back to its original form. Although we try and preserve the originality of the bike by attempting to locate and source those hard to find parts, we do offer alternative options in order to achieve that timeless appearance of the original if your budget is a factor.
One-Off Custom Builds
One thing we pride ourselves on is starting with a base frameset and taking it to the extreme. If you want a restored vintage bicycle with unique styling that no one else has, then this is the way to go. While a custom design might not be quite as valuable, rest assured that no one else will have what you've got. These type of projects promise to be an exciting and personally rewarding experience for everyone.
